What does the buying process look like?
Threedy follows a structured, enterprise-friendly buying process. Typically, this starts with a discovery call to understand your ideas, use cases, data landscape, and stakeholders.
On this basis, we offer you a live demo, followed by a 1-month trial of  Threedy instand3Dhub at no cost to you. Depending on your requirements, we can support your internal evaluation workshops or carry out a 4- to 6-week standard proof-of-concept (PoC) project tailored to your needs.
Once scope and requirements are aligned, we move into commercial discussions and contract setup. Many customers start with a focused use case and expand gradually across teams and departments. Since the pricing model is usage-based, you only pay when the system is actively in use.
How does Threedy integrate with existing systems?
Threedy instant3Dhub is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing IT landscapes.  It connects non-invasively via APIs and standard interfaces to systems such as PLM, PDM, CAD repositories, ERP, and other enterprise data sources. Your ystems remain untouched.
No data duplication or file exports are required. Users continue to work in their familiar system environment while instant3Dhub links and streams 3D data dynamically into the required business applications. Your existing system of record remains the authority.
If you would like to connect to your systems as part of your evaluation, we would be happy to demonstrate this to you as part of a paid structured data integration POC in your infrastructure. Any data, any size. You can take our word for it!
What security standards are supported?
Security is a core design principle at Threedy. The instand3Dhub product was developed in collaboration with renowned automotive manufacturers and refined over a period of 15 years to meet the highest IT security requirements for German OEMs.
Threedy instant3Dhub supports enterprise-grade security concepts, including:
  • Secure authentication and authorization (SSO, role-based access)
  • Encrypted data transfer
  • Deployment options aligned with customer IT and compliance requirements
  • No uncontrolled file downloads by default
Threedy develops cloud-native products with universal deplayment options. When choosing an implementation model, customers generally choose between on-premises or private cloud environments. Whichever model you prefer, Threedy operations experts will work closely with your IT and security teams to align with your internal security policies and respective industry standards.
What hardware is required?
Apart from a server infrastructure for instant3dhub (see product section for specifications), no special hardware is required on the client side.
Instant3Dhub solutions run on any standard device, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. No local GPUs, no heavy clients despite extremely large data  sets  and original detail accuracy.
3D data is streamed to your application or browser efficiently, allowing even very large models to be used on lightweight devices. Any device. You can take our word for it!
How long does implementation take?
Implementation is typically fast and incremental. Initial setups for a first use case can often be completed within a few days or weeks, depending on integration depth and internal approvals. Test installations are often up and running within 48 hours. Since Threedy builds on existing systems and standards, customers can start small and scale over time without disrupting ongoing operations. If this is not possible or desired, our Customer Success team comes into play.
Highly complex multi-CAD environments with customized end-user applications or extensive integrations into existing applications can sometimes take up to three months. However, when delays do occur, they are very often due to idle time caused by waiting for external suppliers, vacation or holiday periods, or the unavailability of necessary resources that get lost in day-to-day business.
For this reason, we attach great importance to professional project management with jointly agreed, realistic milestones and a partnership-based approach involving all parties. Our Professional Services Team and Subject Matter Experts are always available to respond to or take on your specific needs and look forward to working with you.
How does Threedy help reduce data protection risks when collaborating on CAD data?
Threedy is designed to support collaboration without requiring you to distribute full CAD files to every stakeholder. Instead of relying on email attachments or multiple file copies across tools and locations, Threedy keeps a live connection to the original data source and makes it accessible for review and collaboration in a controlled way.
To enable this, Threedy converts CAD data into a streamable visualization format for viewing on any device. This typically reduces “data sprawl” and helps teams maintain a single source of truth, because access and updates remain tied to the original repository rather than to uncontrolled duplicates.
Data protection requirements still depend on your setup, data classification, and chosen integrations. Threedy supports enterprise governance needs such as access control and auditable collaboration workflows, and we’re happy to clarify the specific data flows, storage/caching behavior, and deployment options during discovery to match your compliance expectations.
